Black History Kahoot

On Friday, April 23rd, DonCARES in conjunction with Mr. Forrest's classroom hosted a Black History Kahoot for three of Mr. Forrest's English I classes at Simon Gratz Mastery Charter School. This quarter (RP4) 9th-grade literature teachers at Gratz are diving into professions and encouraging students' curiosity regarding what it takes to work in certain fields.

By posing questions around specific black figures and their professions, students broadened their knowledge of the education it took for famous figures to succeed in their specific industries. Ivana Foster, Sanah Jones, and Jysir Wright were the winner of the Kahoot in Mr. Forrest's 2nd, 4th, and 5th period English classes. First-place winners also earned $10.00 Wawa gift cards on behalf of DonCARES of Philadelphia, Inc.
