DonCARES completes two and a half year partnership with GEAR UP

In June 2020, DonCARES completed a two and a half year partnership with GEAR UP. Throughout the partnership, DonCARES helped facilitate nine resume development workshops for high school students in North Philadelphia. Starting in Spring 2018 at Kensington High School and then Samuel Fels High School in Fall 2018, DonCARES helped nearly 150 students prepare for the interview process by walking through interviews and by helping students create their resumes.

DonCARES ended the partnership in June 2020 due to DonCARES Executive Director Donovan Forrest's teaching career. Although Forrest is still working in secondary education in North Philadelphia, he says that he plans to partner his organization with his location of work in the Fall.
