DonCARES Nominated for 2020 Black Excellence Award from Temple BLSA

Earlier this month, DonCARES was nominated for the Community Development Award by Temple's Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, Pre-Law Division and Temple's Section of the National Society of Black Engineers. A 2019 recipient of the Black Excellence Award, DonCARES was excited to be present in celebrating the hard work and dedication numerous other community organizations and leaders exhibit in uplifting the community.

Held at the Discovery Center in Strawberry Mansion, Philadelphia at 7 PM on Friday, February 21st, a few of the awardees were S.M.O.O.T.H. Temple Chapter, Alliance for Minority Participation in STEM, and The National Association for Colored People, Temple Chapter. The keynote speech was given by the City of Philadelphia Councilman At-Large, Isaiah Thomas.
