On Thursday, February 7, 2019, DonCARES of Philadelphia, Inc. and The National Council of Negro Women, Temple Section hosted a vision board workshop for young women at The U School in North Philadelphia. During the workshop Temple students, Talaya Pollard and Jaya Bolden talked with high school students about their dreams and aspirations.

One student who chose to be anonymous stated that she wanted to live in a neighborhood with a lot of trees and shrubs. Talaya who is originally from Washington D.C. agreed with the student that cities like Philadelphia aren't primarily places where greenery is common in residential neighborhoods.

Jaya who is a successful entrepreneur highlighted an inspirational quote from Offset, a member of the hip hop trio, The Migos. All in all, the event was a great success. In addition, students enjoyed Pizza from City View and had a chance to take home their vision boards.
